SCP Guidelines

This page is intended to provide players with expectations of how SCPs should be played. Deviation from the rules may result in removal from playing SCPs, as well as further administrative action depending on the offense. It is not recommended to play without reading the SCP from the official SCP Wiki, nor is it recommended to play for new players.

The following rules are universal for all players. These are the "core" rules of playing an SCP

  1. You are not here to achieve a high kill-count. Your purpose is to act as your SCP regardless of what it is. Additionally, do not rush towards areas of high importance.
  2. Your SCP determines your friendliness. Do not attempt to ally anyone as an SCP with a high hostility level,
  3. Stay accurate to the lore of your SCP. For example, do not grief as 999 by attempting to interfere while a guard is attempting to do something very important. This also applies to playing SCP-049 and not using modern slang or inappropriate language. Ties in to Rule 1.
  4. Do not provide anything not noted in the wiki to players as a "new development" of an SCP
  5. Do not be a detriment as a safe-class SCP. AKA griefing or being a nuisance to players.
  6. Do not linger for too long around the spawn points in order to net more kills.

SCP-999

Hostility: Non-Existent

Classification: Safe (The object is understood and can be reliably contained.)

Guidelines
  • SCP-999 is not hostile and will not seek to maliciously be a nuisance to foundation staff
  • SCP-999 is not allowed to hug people who are busy with important tasks such as an engineer rushing to quickly contain a potential breach or a Security Specialist engaged in combat.
  • Additionally SCP-999 is not allowed to grief by pulling away important items such as SCP-173s cage or interfere excessively during RP such as research
Playing
  • This is not a list of rules, rather a quick and helpful guide for knowing how to play SCP-999
    • SCP-999 feeds on sugary snacks such as candy. He is known to gravitate and try to play with those who feed him or hold treats
    • SCP-999 is drawn towards individuals expressing sadness or other negative emotions.
    • SCP-999 is mischievous and may sometimes abduct items (See Guideline bullet three for exception)

SCP-527 (Mr. Fish)

Classification: Euclid (The object's behaviour is unpredictable or not fully understood, requiring more active containment.)

Hostility: Small to Non-existent.

Guidelines

  • SCP-527 is a male humanoid, 1.67m in height, which is biologically non-anomalous, with the exception of its head.
  • SCP-527 displays no other anomalous qualities. The head of SCP-527 functions the same as the head of any other non-anomalous human.
  • Initially discovered in Boston, 2002.
  • A tattoo reading "Mr. Fish, from Little Misters ® by Dr. Wondertainment" appears on the bottom of its left foot.
Playing
  • No particular guide to playing as SCP-527; than introducing a relatively interesting roleplay with foundation personnel.
  • When playing SCP-527- you acknowledge that you may not be released from the confines of your containment and possibly spend the round inside.
Containment
  • SCP-527 is to be contained within a standard humanoid docile at Site-53. No other containment procedures are necessary.

SCP-049

Hostility: Medium

Classification: Euclid (The object's behaviour is unpredictable or not fully understood, requiring more active containment.)

Guidelines
  • SCP-049 has the sole purpose of changing living beings into instances of SCP-049-B. He is willing to take any chance to cure someone HOWEVER we expect at least some minor escalation instead of rushing towards potential targets. For example, try speaking a bit on a short conversation with a cornered researcher and give some dialogue. SCP-049 will not attempt to ally anyone who is not "cured"
  • SCP-049 acts and talks with sophistication and a lack of vulgarity. He would not use slang, curses, or raise his voice. SCP-049 is notably calm and prefers to speak in a classy manner.
  • SCP-049 typically redirects any specific questions (Are you male?) to vague answers such as (I lack the concept of gender)
  • SCP-049 is not allowed to wear armour or use weapons.
  • SCP-049 is not interested in breaching other SCPs
Playing
  • SCP-049 as stated always has a calm and sophisticated demeanour
  • SCP-049 is not known to deliberately cause damage to his cell or his surroundings
  • SCP-049 is unable to remove its clothes due to it being biologically apart of him
  • SCP-049 has always existed, as it claims
  • SCP-049 deems "The pestilence" as life, according to most sources. "The Cure" is death followed by reanimation.
Containment
  • SCP-049 may be contained if three or more members of the Security team all have cornered and are taking aim at him. SCP-049 is known to cooperate in the face of this danger and return to his cell. THIS FAILS IF SCP-049 has one or more instance of SCP-049-B near him. Additionally, SCP-049 may be calmed with lavender to obey commands.

SCP-106

Hostility: High

Classification: Keter (The object is highly dangerous and difficult to contain due to its anomalous properties and behaviour.)

Guidelines
  • SCP-106 is uncompromisingly hostile. He will stop at nothing for the total destruction of life and torture of all things around him
  • SCP-106 is not interested in breaching other SCPs.
  • SCP-106 may not patrol solely around its containment chamber in an effort to stop containment
  • SCP-106 is interested in playing with those found in his Pocket Dimension. It is in poor taste to return to the dimension and immediately find and kill people who are stuck inside. SCP-106 is required/encouraged to provide some form of horror and survival to victims.
Playing
  • SCP-106 prefers victims who are younger, and will typically gravitate towards prioritizing them over older individuals (Flavortext helps)
  • SCP-106 is known to be a sadistic SCP that enjoys chasing and toying with victims
Containment
  • SCP-106, upon a femur breaker notification being played, MUST ignore all else around him and use the most direct path back to his containment and into his cell to play with his sacrifice. He is not allowed to quickly kill the sacrifice then immediately run out of the cell- You are contained for the time being, and this resets when the cell door closes and shields are back up.

SCP-173

Hostility: High

Classification: Euclid (The object's behaviour is unpredictable or not fully understood, requiring more active containment.)

Guidelines
  • SCP-173 may not hide in maintenance tunnels and pop out when a nearby door is opened in an attempt to surprise players. You may however, hide in basic hallways or near certain objects to prevent line of sight
  • In addition to bullet point one, SCP-173 doesn't possess personal characteristics or motivations, as it's considered an object with a highly unusual and potentially dangerous behaviour. Its primary trait is its capacity for rapid movement when unobserved, emphasizing the importance of maintaining constant visual contact to prevent its escape or aggressive actions.
Playing
  • SCP-173 is solely interested in snapping necks.
Containment
  • SCP-173 is contained when a team of three personnel locate SCP-173 at the same time while another person or someone in the team already has it, begin to place SCP-173 in the cage. One contained, SCP-173 is placed back inside and removed from the cage while others watch. Ahelp if you are kept in the cage

SCP-247

Hostility: Medium

Classification: Euclid (The object's behaviour is unpredictable or not fully understood, requiring more active containment.)

Guidelines
  • SCP-247 is not allowed to go full attack and kill anyone in its path. They allow for AT MINIMUM at least a minute of "affection" by anyone nearby before deciding to attack, if even.
  • SCP-247 may not break its containment or act in a sentient way, it is a tiger. They may however enter through opened doors but not in a rushed way.

Playing

  • SCP-247 is a tiger. Act like a tiger would, except in the body of a housecat.
Containment
  • SCP-247 is contained by tranquilizers.
